Thankful List – 04/16/10

I am thankful:

 

1.     Mom had a great vacation and came back home safely.

2.    I had some quiet time with just me and the puppy dogs.

3.    The weather has been gorgeous.

4.    I have read some wonderful books.

5.    Mom did not hurt herself too badly when she fell on Sunday.

6.    I saw my great niece Jayden on Sunday.

7.    I found some hiking shorts that I like at Sam’s even though they were in the men’s section.

8.    I got five polo shirts from Old Navy when they were $5.00 each.

9.    Mom brought me two pair of Rockport shoes and some nice shirts from her vacation.

10.  Penny is better. She seems to feel very good and is frisky and playful.

11.  I caught up on all the email I was behind.

12.  I do not feel guilty about posting since I have caught up my replies.

Thankful Thursday – 04/01/2010

I am thankful:

 

1.     Mom made a pound cake yesterday and it is delicious.

2.    When Hope bit me on the cheek she did not hurt me too badly. I was playing with her and she warned me by growling that she was not happy with me. I should have listened. The bite was not her fault, but mine.

3.    My Social Security will be in the bank tomorrow, so I will no longer be broke for a bit.

4.    Tim, Mom’s deacon, and his Sunday school class put in a ramp to our back porch that allows Mom to go in and out easier. They did it at no charge, donating time, labor, and materials.

5.    The weather is nice.

6.    Alex had a good time when Laura visited him last week during her Spring break.

7.    I am able to learn a multitude of things by reading good books.

8.    Mom is packed and ready to go on vacation next week.

9.    I have my iPod so that I can listen to wonderful music.

10.  I have a large assortment of books to choose from for reading while Mom is on vacation.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful:

 

1.     My appointments went well Monday. Even though I could not get a refill of Adiphex, I am okay with it.

2.    On Tuesday, the orthopedist said my MRI was normal, so I will not have to have surgery, but the pain is still there so I have an appointment with a neurologist next Wednesday.

3.    Hope and I walked two miles on Sunday and Tuesday, and we walked four miles today.

4.    The recent thunderstorms have not left us without power.

5.    Hope was good when I took her to town in the car with me yesterday.

6.    My yearly exam went well on Tuesday.

7.    I saw Mark while waiting for my appointment Tuesday and he called me that evening.

8.    Karen and I talked for a while on Saturday night. We caught up on what has been going on in our lives for years.

9.    Moon Pies make a good breakfast (not the healthiest, but tasty).

10.  The weather is getting a bit warmer.

Thankful List

 I am thankful:

 

  1. I finally caught up on my email again. I had let it get woefully behind.
  2. I started physical therapy and it seems to be helping my legs a good bit. My lower back is still painful, but every little bit of improvement is good.
  3. I had my MRI Tuesday and will get the results this coming Tuesday.
  4. Mom is planning on going on vacation to Florida so I will have a few days to myself in April.
  5. I went to the mall alone on Sunday and found some good deals. I enjoyed the time out by myself.
  6. I bought several books at bargain prices and am looking forward to reading them when I do not have library books that will entertain me.
  7. My best friend, Reba, is recovering from her back surgery well.
  8. The temperatures are getting warmer. I am not looking forward to the heat of Summer, but Spring will be nice.
  9. My puppy dog, Hope, is good company for me. She is such a wonderful blessing.
  10. Good music that lifts my heart and makes me smile.

  1. Mom and I had a better week and did not squabble this week.
  2. I picked up some good non-fiction books at the library Wednesday.
  3. Mom’s sister and her husband visited Thursday.
  4. My orthopedist gave me a prescription for Prednisone and an order for physical therapy.
  5. Hope and I walked 2 miles on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
  6. Mom’s cold or whatever it was is getting better with over the counter medicines.
  7. Laura took Alex’s Glock to him.
  8. I have a place to live.
  9. Reba is recovering from her back surgery well.
  10. My social security will be deposited on the 3rd of March so I am no longer broke.

Thankful List

I am thankful:

 

1.     Alex enjoyed his leave here at home.

2.    Today Alex flew back to Cherry Point safely.

3.    Laura fixed a wonderful meal for all of us last night.

4.    Hope has been very loving lately.

5.    Alex and I moved a lot of Mom’s stuff from the old storage building to Mom’s new storage building.

6.    I rescued some of Alex’s clothes from going to Goodwill and will find a use for them myself.

7.    I am feeling a little better tonight after hurting myself badly when I fell on ice Monday night.

8.    Alex gave me a beautiful teddy bear for Valentine’s Day.

9.    I am enjoying reading Horns by Joe Hill.

10.  I got some nice things on clearance after Valentine’s Day.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful:

 

1.     I have a chiropractor who helps me feel better.

2.    Alex got a new laptop.

3.    I was able to check out some awesome books yesterday, which I am looking forward to reading.

4.    My doctor quickly sent through the pre-authorization with my prescription drug coverage so that I was able to get my medication refilled.

5.    I fixed the hinge on the coat closet door that had been broken for about fifteen years.

6.    I enlarged some photographs of my brother James for my Mom.

7.    Penny seems to be doing a little better. She has been a very sick puppy dog.

8.    I bought some new flannel sheets for my bed that were on clearance at Sam’s.

9.    Mom said I could have some of the cheesecake she bought for Alex. It is delicious.

10.  I am slowly, but steadily, paying back the money I owe Mom.

Thankful List

I am thankful:

 

1.     Alex got home safely Friday night and is staying until February 19th.

2.    Alex’s friend, Jake, carried Alex’s 1972 Chevrolet to Cherry Point on his trailer.

3.    Mom and I got her computer room in good order last week.

4.    We were able to get rid of some things through Freecycle.

5.    Mom’s laptop started working.

6.    I bought The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova and started reading it.

7.    I bought the CD Songs From The Heart by Celtic Woman and I love it.

8.    I bought a stand to sit my laptop on and it makes it easier to type.

9.    I lost two pounds.

10.  I am feeling better today after being sick since Friday.

Thankful List on Friday

 I am thankful:

 

  1. Mom got her permanent dentures this week and they seem to be well fitted.
  2. The puppy dogs like the new groomer and she is very nice. Having her come to the house is convenient too.
  3. Leigh finally paid my Mom back.
  4. Alex is coming home on leave February 5th through February 19th.
  5. I have read some excellent books since the first of the year.
  6. Hope sleeps with me.
  7. I have been keeping daily notes in a planner for over a year now and it gives me an opportunity to go back to find out what was happening.
  8. I have an extended warranty on my laptop, in case something unexpected goes wrong.
  9. I went to the chiropractor twice this week and it seems to have helped with my pain.
  10. I have made wonderful friends on Journal Writing.

Thankful List

I am thankful:

 

1.     The weather has warmed up from the frigid temperatures we were having.

2.    Hope and I are walking when weather permits.

3.    I learned a meditation technique that I can practice.

4.    My hands cleared up where they had become very irritated. I am allergic to dishwashing liquid.

5.    I got some very good pictures of our snow day.

6.    We were at Hobby Lobby when they marked their Christmas merchandise down to 90% off and I got some wonderful bargains.

7.    I am maintaining my weight loss.

8.    Mom is getting out some with her friends.

9.    I drink Diet Coke, which I love.

10.  I have wonderful books to read.
