It is very fortunate that there are so many great subjects to photograph nearby. We only drove a few miles to get these pictures.

I am grateful:

1.   It did not rain today.
2.   I chose to stay home from the camera club workshop today.
3.   I was able to get some extra sleep.
4.   I have plenty of clothes.
5.   My scanner works well.

I hope you have had a relaxing Sunday, and that you take a few moments to do something creative.

Always,
Jo Ann

I am grateful:

1.   The day was gorgeous.
2.   Lunch at Chick-Fil-A was delicious.
3.   I did not have to buy colas today and carry them.
4.   I found The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice at Sam’s Club and purchased it.
5.   My computer has not crashed in a couple of days.

I hope you had a wonderful day and that you are accomplishing your desires. Have a great weekend.

Always,
Jo Ann

I am grateful:

1.   I wrote a poem today.
2.   I talked with Linda, my sister-in-law, a few minutes.
3.   This thirty acres has some beautiful things on it.
4.   We stayed home today.
5.   I was able to crush cans and my shoulder did not hurt too bad.

At one point doctors told my parents that I would be a vegetable for the rest of my life because of an overdose of drugs. My Mom and Dad enlisted the prayers of the community for my healing. I have problems, but am a highly functional person. I thank God for His grace toward me. It is a miracle that I survived. My accomplishments amaze me.

If you will work creatively you can enrich the world. You have the gift within you. You must only apply effort to complete great things. I encourage you to use your innate talent and create beauty.

Always,
Jo Ann

I am grateful:

1.   My pain is somewhat better.
2.   I picked up the Chapel Hill News & Views.
3.   I found some very good deals at the after Valentine’s Day Sale at Wal-Mart and had enough money to buy a few things.
4.   I talked to the president of the Sweetwater Camera Club and am very interested in joining.
5.   We finished reading Exodus today.

I do not think I would have been looking in the magazine today had I not been led to it. I certainly would not have found the camera club listing were I not doing this project. I am more open to things happening by chance since I have begun paying closer attention to life around me. Had I known how this project would expand my horizons I would have certainly begun it earlier.

I urge you to do something creative that stretches your abilities. It will no doubt be rewarding to you. I hope your day was a good one.

Always,
Jo Ann

365 Creativity Project–Day 36

I felt uninspired, but Mom told me to write about Valentine’s Day, so I wrote the following poem:

I am grateful:

1.   We stopped at K-Mart and found some pajamas on sale.
2.   We ate barbecue at Hudson’s Hickory House as our Valentine’s meal.
3.   The geese came close to me when I took their pictures.
4.   Mom liked the card I made her.
5.   I was able to drive without too much pain.

I hope each of you had a Happy Valentine’s Day. May you be inspired to do something creative.

Always,
Jo Ann

I am grateful:

1.   I got up early this morning and watched Joel Osteen preach.
2.   Leigh suggested I try standing in the shower with water running over my neck, shoulder, and back to ease my pain.
3.   It was cold today as it should be in Winter.
4.   I talked to my best friend, Reba, today.
5.   Alex called briefly this morning.

It has been a good day, despite my pain. I enjoyed writing the haiku and expounding on my thoughts about a creativity workshop. I hope your Sunday has been wonderful and that you are rested to start the week. May you find something creative to engage your talents.

Always,
Jo Ann

I am grateful:

1.   The negotiations with AT&T will lower my bill for a few months.
2.   The other problems I had today were resolved without too much trouble.
3.   Mom cooked cheese toast for supper so I did not have to cook.
4.   It was cold today and I was able to wear a coat.
5.   Our home is warm and comfortable.

I am still enjoying this project although it is not always easy to come up with content. I am hoping we can go for a long ride and find some good subjects to photograph. We rarely go out unless we have some errand in town so it will be a nice change of pace. I think doing this is widening my horizons and making me pay much closer attention to my environment.

I hope that you are finding some inspiration to begin doing something creative of your own. It is very rewarding. Have a great evening and enjoyable Sunday.

Always,
Jo Ann

I am grateful:

1.   I had no problem getting up when the alarm went off this morning.
2.   We made it to the appointment for service on the truck before time.
3.   The brakes and tires on the Explorer are in good shape.
4.   Hope and I walked a mile.
5.   I am free to live my life as I desire, within my personal limitations, of course.

If you want to write, draw, paint, take photographs, or otherwise do something creative, you should begin doing it. You will gain no skill without practice. Do not let time pass you by without doing what you desire to do in your life. You will never have a perfect moment to start, but if you do you may find that your perfect moment comes. You must be active to receive the gifts from the universe that are reserved for you.

I hope your day was a good one. Do something creative that you enjoy simply for the pleasure you gain.

Always,
Jo Ann

There are books on these shelves…

It is Thursday, time for a gratitude list.

I am thankful:

1.   I have enough time to explore my creativity.
2.   I am blessed with an active imagination.
3.   I learned to read and write.
4.   I have plenty of tools to use in making art.
5.   I managed to raise a responsible citizen.
6.   I am able to help my Mom.
7.   I have a very sweet puppy dog.
8.   My two books came from Amazon this week.
9.   My bed is soft and comfortable.
10.  We have heat and air conditioning to keep the house temperate.

I hope you find something in your life for which to be thankful. Making these lists helps keep one mindful of blessings. May you be given inspiration to create something beautiful today.

Always,
Jo Ann

365 Creativity Project–Day 22

Today I was gifted with many sweet morsels. The words simply kept coming to me with little effort on my part. I hope you will enjoy:

I love this cup.

Our mile walk today was graced with beautiful skies and warm temperatures. Hope was so happy to be outdoors. Her joy is so intense one cannot help but join her in bliss.

Writing when the words come easily is great fun. It seems to be effortless. Even if the words come in the form of haiku it warms the heart to be given something to write. Maybe if one opens themselves to inspiration it finally comes. I urge everyone who wants to write to spend time at it daily. You cannot produce if you do not apply yourself to actually doing the work. The writing can be anything, but simply writing brings some worthwhile lines to you. You have more talent than that of which you are aware. Talent grows with practice.

I hope your Tuesday has been a great day. May you be blessed with something creative to bring to life.

Always,
Jo Ann
