I Took The Test and Landed in Purgatory

A heavy thunder breaks the deep lethargy within your head….
…causing you to upstart suddenly, like a person who by force is awakened. Before you stands an enormous gate with an inscription that reads:

"Through me the way into the suffering city,
Through me the way to the eternal pain,
Through me the way that runs among the lost.
Justice urged on my high artificer;
My maker was divine authority,
The highest wisdom, and the primal love.
Before me nothing but eternal things were made,
And I endure eternally.
Abandon every hope, ye who enter here."

Your fate has been decided….

You are one of the lucky ones! Because of your virtue and beliefs, you have escaped eternal punishment. You are sent to Purgatory!

Purgatory

You have escaped damnation and made it to Purgatory, a place where the dew of repentance washes off the stain of sin and girds the spirit with humility. Through contrition, confession, and satisfaction by works of righteousness, you must make your way up the mountain. As the sins are cleansed from your soul, you will be illuminated by the Sun of Divine Grace, and you will join other souls, smiling and happy, upon the summit of this mountain. Before long you will know the joys of Paradise as you ascend to the ethereal realm of Heaven.

Here is how you matched up against all the levels: (Click on a level for more info)

Happy Easter!

I am up early for it to be a weekend. I went to bed at 1:30AM and woke from a bad dream at 7:00AM. In this dream I was lost and a young woman took some of my clothes. I struggled to wake up. Thank God I was able to tell myself it was only a dream. There was one part where a young girl had my full attention and she made more sense than any of the rest of the dream. She was telling a story, but the details did not stay with me.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Hope the rest of you have the best of days! I have lots of laundry to do today. That should keep me somewhat busy.

Something light to give you a smile:

I want a cookie!

I want a cookie,

But the jar is empty.

This is good.

This is good,

I do not need sweets,

Trying to keep my figure.

That does not stop me

From wanting some,

Never only one.

Never only one,

But at least I can

Ignore the temptation

Since it remains unattainable,

So unattainable.

I ran out of Girl Scout Cookies… and when I ran across this it seemed appropriate.

Be Exposed

Shiver, and be real…

To me now.

Letting soft fingers

Run so slow

That your thinking turns

Away from

Your self-centered

Places freely.

Echoing distant

Melodies

You just remember,

Bare as snow

On dried Winter grass.

Then feel me

Hot as blazing sun

Surround you,

In a song so new

Begun that

Tears prickle your clear

Eyes shining

Brilliant with new life.

Then once more,

Shiver, and be real…

I need to go get the laundry started, so I will be back in a bit.

More Adventures in The Mundane…

I just took a shower after visiting everyone on my blog list. I was going through my regular routine in the shower and God tried to tell me something. I picked up a bottle to get some shampoo and it would not come out. At first I thought it was odd. I messed around with it a bit and ran hot water over it. Finally it dispensed and damn it, it was not shampoo… it was conditioner. I should read labels when bottles are identical. Good way for Him to get my attention.

I had to reboot because MSN crashed again. I am almost ready to migrate this space if I keep having problems, but I will leave a forwarding address. I have a lot of friends here. This is just a thought that keeps niggling at me.

Ran into some truly crass people out in the blogosphere today. Leaving really despicable comments on other blogs. The thing is the idiots don’t leave URL’s so they can be followed into their own territory. It is unfair for them to cause trouble in the community.

I am going to go ahead and post this and will be back later.

A Special Story…

This is the story I have been typing into the computer… Hope you enjoy it! MSN kept crashing on me… so I went to bed at 3:53AM. I did not get the story finished until this afternoon. Typing is tiring for me even though it is much better than it was a few weeks ago. I got up at 10:00AM and ate breakfast. I went back to bed around 11:30AM and slept until 2:00PM. So far today MSN is cooperating with me.

Liberty and Legend

Walking through the desolate streets of long forgotten memory she found no refuge for her weary soul. Though there was in plenty pain and fear to make her conscience grounded and whole. For even in her past the remains of love and life she had left behind glowed bright with fevered light and beguiled her into the remembered night. She could see the images so clearly, those that passed into reverie. Would that there was someone to share the feast of reflections that cascaded through her mind. Where were all the friends she had depended on for so long? Had they died deaths of honor on the fields or pithy battles unwon, tainted with dreams of eternity.

She walked a creature unmade for the darkness. Weak light emitting from her form enshrouded in the deep ebon shadows that fell encompassing her in their dismal coldness. Her mind struggled to find a path through the pitch black fields sprawling ahead of her.

Then suddenly out of the darkness she saw another dim lit figure. He was armed with confidence glowing against the senselessness of hate. Her well trained arm reached for a sword at her side and she drew the weapon swiftly. The other hand strayed to a pistol holstered at the other side of her tiny waist. She laid her hand on the grip, hesitating to draw it.

Her voice cam a soft whisper, "Who are you and what business have you here among the trappings of the dead?"

He turned smoothly in one fluid motion, as if startled to find anyone else in the region. "I am Legend. I was searching for a body, still warm, to turn into a song for mortals to revere and carry into their history. I am astounded to find another traveling this road. Who are you, dear?"

She stepped closer and drew back the pale hood that draped her exquisite face. His breath was quickly indrawn. She smiled wanly, "I, dear Legend, am Liberty and walk this path often."

He stammered, "But we thought you lost among the visions and dreams that have passed into long ago. Come nearer my lady; let me get a better look at you."

"I remain, only if men would seek me and my sisters, Faith, Love, and Peace, and lay their arms away they might still find us." She said softly as she stepped forward.

Legend’s bright eyes went quickly over her form, noticing the blood stains on her gossamer garments. The fabric that clothed her was rich woven, but the stains were deep and not easily removed. He gestured for her to come even closer. "Are you harmed my sweet friend? Many are seeking you. Why do you linger here in the regions of the dead, who can do nothing to further your great cause?

Liberty looked past him into the deeper shadows, "I linger here for these were willing to sacrifice everything the held dear to follow me. Yes, I am deeply wounded for pompous men espouse their words in praise of me, but do not truly follow me. They only seek to enslave the weak, the poor, the homeless, by their speeches on prosperity."

Legend held out a hand, "Come dear, we will sit and compose a song for the present. Perhaps mankind will listen to us together."

She sheathed her sword and reached out her slender hand to join with his strong one.

Just to Let You Know

I am posting a new picture of myself, taken today, on the profile and in My Life in celebration of losing two more pounds. I tinkered with these a little in Photoshop, and Corel PhotoPaint… If you don’t like them I can put the others back in place. I have been doing this a while.

I have started another post, too. I will try to finish it soon. I did eat a little and went outside in the sun for a while. I have also traded some pants with Mom. I could not wear some of mine because they were too big, and she could not wear hers because they were too small. We are built quite differently. I think I must have more muscle mass than she does because we weigh almost the same amount.

Have an awesome evening!

Man has Permanent Erection

A Czech prisoner locked up on theft charges has been freed and allowed to go back home to his wife after getting a permanent erection.

The 37-year-old man was serving a six month sentence in Plzen jail in the southwest of the country – and woke wardens in the early hours of the morning complaining he had an erection that would not go away.

He told staff it was extremely painful and after prison doctors called to examine the erect member were unable to help, the man had to be taken to a specialist hospital in Prague where surgeons were forced to operate to treat the problem.

They said the man had been suffering from a rare condition known as priapismus in which blood becomes trapped in the penis during an erection and can only be treated through immediate surgery, local daily Pravo reported.

After surgery however the man was allowed to go home where medical experts said he would be better off being cared for by his wife than in the prison hospital.

I like the way it is going right now I have several stocks on my buy list at present.

I went to bed at 1:30AM and went to sleep with my lights on. That was my first mistake of the day. I got up at 7:00AM and have been up ever since. I guess that is a good thing. I think I am going to take a break from the computer and eat lunch… but, I believe I will post a poem first.

Life Goes On and Love Must Survive

Even though we may have experienced

The pain that results from senseless hate

Seen the carnage that unreasoning fear

Can cause through human savagery;

We must somehow find the strength.

The courage to continue our lives

Finding some dignity in the portion

Of our destiny which lives in memory.

If we cannot face our past

Manage to mingle it into our present

As a seasoning ordeal;

We have profited nothing from life.

Somewhere within our hearts

We must discover the reality

That all things are a part of life,

Though some may be cruel.

We must also realize

That often even pain and brutality

Cause not only strong hate,

But must force love to survive.

A Poem I Found In My Notebook…

Overcome Indifference

You may be sitting there

In your favorite easy chair

Thinking to yourself

‘Why should I care

I have not anything to share.’

But you can make a difference

If only you overcome your indifference,

Allow yourself to reach out

Across that spiked fence

You created as your world defense.

With that small smile

You locked away in childhood’s file,

You can overcome the woe

That has daunted someone’s smile

And so help undo a sad trial.

Take a little chance,

Get up off the seat of your pants,

Try to give a helping hand.

Even a tiny effort plants

A seed for someone’s better chance.
