For the faithful
Prayers which have been lifted
Over my mother’s condition…
I believe those words were most effective
And have perhaps helped allow her

I am grateful:

1.   I slept well and felt rested when I woke up.
2.   We were able to cash Mom’s check.
3.   Mom’s test results were very good.
4.   I did not have to prepare supper.
5.   I got some of the work done on the Sweetwater Camera Club website.

My Tuesday has been quite wonderful. I hope your day was pleasant as well. I encourage you to engage your imagination and create something to share with the world. You no doubt have the talent to accomplish much more than you may think possible. Just get busy.

It Is A Miracle

My mind is broken,
Yet I still think…
My heart is broken,
Yet I still feel…
My body is broken,
Yet I still stand…
My spirit is broken,
Yet I am healed…

By the power of Jesus
My life continues:
Sane within my insanity,
Loving despite my hurts,
Upright despite my infirmity,
Saved despite my many
And terrible wrongs,
By His grace and mercy.

I can still think
Because He clarifies my mind…
I can still feel
Because He works in my emotions…
I can still stand
Because He works in my weakness…
I can claim healing
Because I am forgiven by His blood…

I am grateful:

1.   I had Oreo cookies for breakfast with a glass of cold milk.
2.   I had my Droid with me and was able to call Mom to help her set the thermostat on air conditioning so she would not get too hot.
3.   My friend, Jana, and I met for lunch at Wendy’s.
4.   I had enough money for lunch and we had some uplifting conversation.
5.   I talked to my best friend, Reba, this evening and am seeing her tomorrow after church.

The weather today was gorgeous and I thoroughly enjoyed my Saturday. I hope your day was filled with blessings as well. If you have a few moments to spare, or can make the time, engage yourself in creative work. It will enrich your life and calm you mind. On Purpose

I suppose I am
On mission even here at
Home because no one
Else is willing to take on
The responsibilities
That I have with Mom.
I made a promise I will
Not break, but I thought
Mistakenly that others
Might step up and do their part.
I have to trust God
That if there is something else
He wishes me to
Do, He will make a way for
Me where there is not a way.
It is my duty
To be open to His call
Willing to do His
Work wherever I can be
Used by His almighty hand.

I am grateful:

1.   I have the opportunity to attend this World Missions Conference.
2.   My Mom is able to stay home without me some.
3.   I was able to eat at church and the meals were delicious.
4.   I am learning a lot from the speakers.
5.   I went to my Photography 2 class this evening.

I enjoyed my Monday and hope you also had a fulfilling day. I am getting this done very late because I was out until almost 10:00 this evening. I encourage you to do some creative work while you have the opportunity.

I am grateful:

1.   I do not have a huge bruise on my right side.
2.   The shoes Mom gave me were comfortable today.
3.   We had no emergency in which we needed my Droid.
4.   Mom went to church with me though she had very little sleep.
5.   The smoothies I made turned out well.

I had a beautiful Sunday that started a bit calamitously, but then turned out extremely well. I even saw snowflakes. I hope your day was gloriously happy. Now, before you turn your back on this day engage your imagination and create something wondrous. You have the talent to achieve all you dream possible, just believe in your ability.

I am grateful:

1.   I woke up early this morning.
2.   I was able to return the Ensure even though I could not find the receipt.
3.   Sam’s Club had the fruit and protein I needed to make smoothies for Mom.
4.   I decided to bring Mom a bouquet of flowers and she was very happy.
5.   I fixed a delicious supper with Mom’s help.

My Saturday has been busy and enjoyable. I hope your day has been good. I found time, although a bit late, to work creatively and so should you. I am sure you can do as well as I have, just make an effort.

I am grateful:

1.   I had energy for the day.
2.   Mom was able to go with me to church today.
3.   I finally talked to Brother Steve.
4.   Joel shared some of his concerns with me.
5.   I resolved not to be pushed around.

I am grateful:

1.   Although I ignored my alarm awhile, Mom called me and I got up before she left this morning.
2.   I wrote up the list of contest winners for the webpage, and separately typed them up for email.
3.   I posted the description of the new contest on the webpage and placed it in its proper menu without making a mess.
4.   Mom brought me an excellent lunch and chocolate éclairs.
5.   I did some editorial work that I hope proves acceptable.

Mine was a working Saturday, but I hope you had time to relax. If you have not already created something to share with the world, I encourage you to do it now. There is no time like the present to exercise your imagination. You can brighten and/or enlighten someone’s life with your creativity.

I entered this one, but it did not place. I am using it as my desktop background right now.

I am grateful:

1.   I did not have to drive to Austell today.
2.   Nightmares are not reality.
3.   My printer did not run out of ink while I was printing.
4.   I think I may have helped a club member by recommending my doctor for her son.
5.   Hope has a Thunder Shirt to help calm her during tonight’s storms.

I also entered this, but it did not place.

I had a busy Thursday, and it has not ended as well as I would like because Mom was upset with me for getting in late. I hope your day turned out better. I have taken time to exercise my creativity and I urge you to do the same. Everything ends more pleasantly when imagination is utilized.

Acceptance

I have my doubts, but
I have made this decision
So very many
Times that I am hesitant
To trust myself once again.

So I pray Jesus
Take my heart and complete life,
I repent of all
My many sins and ask that
You forgive me completely.

I want certainty,
But know I constantly
Dwell in a state of
Doubt, so I plead finally
Pardon me, give me Your peace.

Show me what You want
Me to do, I am fully
Yours, deliver me,
Only You can fulfill my
Greatest need, ending my doubt.

If it be Your will
Seal my soul and open up
The gates of Heaven
So I may enter into

I am grateful:

1.   Mom was able to go to Sunday School and Worship Service with me today.
2.   God has patience with me.
3.   I was not in the terrible accident on I-20 this afternoon.
4.   Although it rained and I was not able to take pictures at Oakland Cemetery the trip was not wasted.
5.   Hoke took us on a tour of places that we could shoot in the future while it rained.

I hope your Sunday was wonderful. My day was full of happy moments. I urge you to take time and produce something creative. Perhaps you have a new vision to share with the world. Do it now.

Incredible Responsibility

I never needed
To ask anyone for help
Because she always
Took care of all my problems
With complete dedication.

Now the tables have
Turned and I am left in charge
Of her total care,
I feel quite inadequate
To take care of everything.

I promised brother
I would do my very best
And fully intend
To do so, but I am quite
Overwhelmed by her great need.

I pray God be with
Me every step of the way,
Guiding my hands, heart,

I am grateful:

1.   I do not have to live alone.
2.   My Mom and the dogs share my life.
3.   I remembered to mail the power bill.
4.   I was able to get gas for the truck today.
5.   Leigh came to get the garbage and visited a while.

My day was quite busy and a bit nerve wracking. I hope yours was less problematic. Before you complete this day I urge you to spend time creating. It is a splendid way to finish off your day. You will enjoy it and might encourage or inspire someone else.
